Abstract

Attributiveis a constituent descriptors that describes thenounina noun phrase, verbal phrase, phrase or adjective phrase or other words class that havethe functionto explain. The layoutof attribute can belocated on the leftcore, right next to the core or flanking the core. The approach usedin this studyis a qualitative approach. Form ofresearch data obtainedis written texts discourse through recording techniques. Data were analyzed using distributional studies. The procedure of data analysisis conducted through fourstages, they are(1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) presentation of data, and(4) the conclusion ofthe research finding sand verification. The results of attributive meaning relations of adjective phrase innarrative discourse express meanings: (a) negative, (b) levels, (c) character determiner, (d) size, (e) color, (f) time, (g) distance, (h) the attitude ofmind, and(i) of perception.
