MENGEMBANGKAN BUDAYA LITERASI MAHASISWA MELALUI PENDEKATAN KULTURAL DENGAN SASTRA PENTAS JIDOR SENTULAN DI JOMBANG

Abstract

Culture in the society is diverse. Cultural diversity reflects the dynamism of a nation. Because culture is derived from the word " budhi " is mind or intelligence that‟s influenced by several elements of forming the culture. Culture can be formed and accustomed hereditarily.
Through narration portrait of verbal art Jidor Sentulan the society can learn to write or read the literature work. Besides, through literacy can accustome the society to have the ability of reading narration that have been created from the performance result of verbal art Jidor Sentulan. It discusses about; ( 1) The narrative patterns contained in the verbal art Jidor Sentulan and ( 2 ) reading the narration of verbal art Jidor Sentulan As for the purpose of this research is to develop the culture of literacy in society through verbal art Jidor Sentulan Jombang. Verbal art Jidor Sentulan is analyzed by using qualitative approach. Theoretical orientation used is reading literature and narrative analysis in this study.
